To set and operate CNC machines including programme editing when required under the guidance of the Production Engineer.

• To ensure all equipment and tooling is functioning to achieve the required results for the operations undertaken.

• To ensure that all work produced meets the specified level of quality by the use of available measuring equipment to maintain tolerances specified by working drawings.

The role will involve operating horizontal boring and milling machines Responsibilities: - Set and operate various machines to certain specifications - Be confident in modifying tools and jig fixtures as and when required - Use trained mechanical skills to manufacture high value products - Help promote a health & safety culture within the organisation - Take part in continuous improvement activities within the workshop  

Candidate Requirements: - Ideally be an apprentice trained mechanical engineer - Have ability to set and operate using FANUC controls - Ideally have experience doing a similar role

 An opportunity has arisen for a Welder Fabricator to join a Sub-contract Engineering company based in Leeds. We require a skilled person who is competent in TIG welding. MIG welding, fitting and machining experience would be an advantage. The work is sub contract engineering, manufacturing special purpose items for the Motor and food industry. A percentage of the job is site-workwe will be offering a permanent contract to the successful candidate.

• The successful TIG Welder / Fabricator will have the following experience: TIG welding experience is essential.
• Previous experience of fabrication is essential.
• Fitting experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Electronic drawings is an advantage.
• The ability to work with the minimum amount of supervision and under their own initiative.

Hours of work: 8.00 - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday. 8.00 – 3.30 Friday.

About the CandidateMust be used to working to fine limits in steel and aluminium, welding with Tig and Mig and occasional ARC.

Competent at reading engineers drawings and able to work on own initiative. Skills in using a lathe and mill would be an advantage.

They are seeking a minimum of one Metal Polisher with a minimum of 12 months experience, in turn offering a 13-week temp to perm for the right candidate.  Daily responsibilities will include;  - Working as part of a close-knit team in order to ensure that the parts are finished to a high standard, by following a strict five-part sequence - Stationed at a heavy-duty lathe, you will be responsible for applying parts to the Polisher by hand - Responsible for running smaller machines and linishing equipment to complete the process - Handling a range of materials including stainless steel and chrome - Minding the machine whilst process is being carried out, escalating any faults to production supervisor
